About this trip

Trolling is fishing in motion. We set a spread of lures and baits behind The Shearwater and cover water until we find the bait and the fish that follow it. King mackerel are the main event — long, toothy, lightning-fast fish that scream line off the reel. Spanish mackerel keep the rods bending, and a cobia under a ray or weed line is a prize worth bragging about.

This trip suits anglers who like variety and action over a long sit. It's also a great way to find fish when the bottom bite is slow — we cover ground and react to what we mark and see. Captain Brandon watches the water-temperature breaks and the bait on the electronics to put the spread in the right lane.
